On June 26, 2006, the Jewish Organizing Initiative and different organizations from all over Greater Boston presented "Tips from the Roots: A Celebration of Local Grassroots Organizing". The event was a poster session, showcasing stories of how grassroots organizing has played a role in the work they do. Through the music and stories of local organizers, the event highlighted the tremendous role community organizing has played in creating social change in Boston.

A clothing swap where people exchanged unwanted clothes for others' unwanted clothes! Volunteers helped alter and embellish the swapped items.
